Flag Classic Range Button Polish is made from naturally derived shellac resins prepared in a fast drying alcohol solution suitable for use on crafted wood fittings and furniture where there is a need to create or restore the high gloss antique finish associated with this most traditional type of surface coating.

Button shellac is traditionally hand made from natural materials from the Indian Lac beetle. It is therefore less refined than machine made shellacs; however, this gives added strength to the polish film, and for this reason is often used as a finishing coat for a sealing stain. Flag Classic Range Button Polish is more cloudy and darker than the traditional French polish, and this trait makes it a great favorite with restorers to recreate "old" finishes. Button Polish is traditionally used when a slightly warmer appearance is required.

The golden appearance will enhance some woods for example, Walnut. Button polish is the traditional favorite for achieving a French polish.
